The more I read your comments, the less convincing all of your point gets. I agree that HD will bring more crime, but fail to see why it's their fault. When we look at the big picture, There's Only one group of people that is failling us: The commissioners, and the city who doesn't enforce the laws.
In my opinion, Home Depot doesn't fit the neighborhood for many reasons that contribute to the exact opposite of what this community represent. So, I propose a fix in the loophole. We should pass a law for big box businesses like Home Depot (size matters), that unless they pay employees no less than $12 minimum an hour, they cannot be extablished in the Grove area. This law can be avoided if they propose, and built a lite version of their businesses. PS: I think with the parking at the location, it'll benifit Barns&Noble,or an Upscale Supermarket, or Bed Bath & Behond, or small version of all of the above, or take the whole thing down, and build a nice shopping center like the one Being constructed in Brickell area something with the theme of the grove. BEST OF ALL, CREATE A SPORTING CENTER THAT HAS AN INDOOR SKATEBOARD, SWIMMING POOL, TABLE TENNIS, BILLARDS, BOWLING, ECT... Just my idea |

Well now I'm finally starting to hear some common sense in these forums instead of the "let's all jump on the same bandwagon rhetoric" that a few people are pumping into the masses. Glad that people are thinking for themselves.
